This concert performance of Stephen Sondheim's Broadway masterpiece, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, features Patti Lupone as Mrs. Lovett and veteran stage actor George Hearn in the title role. The work, a musical thriller of romance and revenge set in Victorian England, premiered to unanimous critical and audience acclaim in 1979 and went on to win 9 New York Drama Desk Awards and 8 Tony Awards.

Presented to sold-out audiences in July of 2001 at Davies Symphony Hall, the all-star cast led by the divine Ms. LuPone and Mr. Hearn were accompanied by the world-class San Francisco Symphony, under the direction of Rob Fisher. This magnificent performance has been captured in its entirety on video with stunning clarity and rich multichannel sound.

Performances were fantastic all the way around. Teal is extraordinary - one of the very best ever - and Megan is at the top of her game. A+

A Chorus Line (Broadway, 1977, Pro-Shot From The Lincoln Center Archives) A little faded and in black and white, there is already a version floating around, but this is much better quality. There's a hard cut right after Cassie's solo...I assume this is where tape 1 ended...there is absolutely nothing missing from the show.

Acorn Antiques The Musical! is the all singing, all dancing fully overalled stage version of the beloved TV spoof. This triumphant West End production brought together Julie Walters (Mrs Overall), Celia Imrie (Miss Babs) and Duncan Preston (Mr Clifford) - the original cast of the series. It was directed by Sir Trevor Nunn (Les Miserables, The Woman In White, Starlight Express) and was written by Julie's understudy, the award winning Victoria Wood. Filmed during the sell out run at the Haymarket Theatre, featuring an all star supporting cast of Josie Lawrence, Neil Morrissey and Sally Ann Triplett.

The script was written by Matt Lang (who also directed the show), Nick Lang (who assistant directed and made the dragon puppet) and Brian Holden (who was busy working at a real job while the rest of us were making a goofy play).HP the Musical was a completely non-for-profit unofficial parody show made by Potter-fans for Potter-fans. Little Mermaid (Sierra Boggess)

Mami (meaning ‘sweetie’, used mostly by lower socio-economic groups) is an Israeli rock opera that was written by Hillel Mittelpunkt, Ehud Banai, and Yossi Mar Haim. Shefi Yishai and Yossi Elefant were responsible for musical production and arrangement.
A very enjoyable experience even if you can't speak the language.
Mazi Cohen and Aryeh Moskuna are phenomenal.
A very rare Israeli VHS. Very good quality.

51 minute choppy highlights - very Phantom and Mme Giry focused. A bit of snow at the

bottom, colours are washed out, occasional skipping, and the picture varies between dark and overbright. Other than that, the picture is clear for its age and there are no obstructions. Nice balance of steady wide shots and zooms. Picture only for most of the AIAOY Reprise. I'd expected to like Colm more than I did- I didn't find he cared much about Christine and he felt a bit contrived to me. I didn't like Patti's acting - very typical mesmerized, wide eyed- but the highlights don't really show enough of her to judge completely 1 DVD B
